23.1 The Lunar Aspects

Since the joining of the lunar aspects, mortals who have shown their perseverance and dedication to increasing their experience in Aetherius and have reached their 100th level are given the ability to take on the mantle of "Aspect of the Combined Moons." This aspect allows them to declare an affinity for an elemental plane and travel amongst the planes via the Moon Forge.

In addition, Aspects may imbue one of the many monoliths throughout the planes with the essence of their affinity. Controlling monoliths will grant special powers to all those that share an affinity with them.

When an Aspect is slain (no matter how they are slain, be it by another player or a beast) while in control of any monoliths, they will lose control of those monoliths but they will not lose their status as an Aspect.

The link between an Aspect and the monoliths is one that must be carefully defended, as any other Aspect, at any time, may attempt to sever that link and take control of that monolith in return. If you hold a link to a monolith or are attempting to establish a link to one, it is within the rules for other players to attack and kill you.

Aspects depend on their spirit to power and maintain the skills that are unique to them. Spirit can be obtained either from experience or lessons.

The strongest aspects can build and fortify a stronghold on their chosen plane to do with as they wish. Strongholds are personal spaces for the aspects and can be fortified against entry by providing excess spirit. Those seeking to gain entry must use their own spirit to breach the defenses of the stronghold.
