17.29.1 The Champion Plagues

Shade, the minion of Legion, cracked open the Rashimir and carefully pulled forth the Plagues. It is unclear what his purpose was exactly as this point. However, in releasing the Plagues, Tomas was able to discover a way to bind the Plagues to an area.

Champions of mortalkind may harvest the bones of their fellow Champions to create the mysterious and powerful Boneyards. The function of these boneyards being to stock pile further Champion bones, which are then used to raise one of the monstrous Ten Plagues.

Champions get bones from killing other players.
- One bone for killing a champion.
- One bone for killing anyone to the point they cannot revive.
- One bone for killing another champion in the challenge arena.
- This means it is possible to get up to 3 bones per kill.

Commands:
----------------------------

CREATE BONEYARD
- Using a champion bone, you may create a boneyard. You may only have one at any given time, and it must be constructed in an outside, non-urban environment. Only those who are Champions may create boneyards.

PUT BONE IN BONEYARD
- Using great concentration and skill, you add a bone to the boneyard. Only those who are Champions may deposit bones in a boneyard.

REMOVE BONE FROM BONEYARD
- Using great concentration and skill, you remove a bone from the boneyard. This takes 60 seconds. This can only be done once per hour, and enables your enemies to have PK rights on you. The removed bone can be reused in another boneyard.

SUMMON PLAGUE <plague name>
- Once you have deposited 49 additional bones into your boneyard, for a total of 50, and if these bones are from 5 different Champions, you may begin the process of summoning one of the monstrous Ten Plagues. Your boneyard will crumple as you begin to summon the plague, and if you are interrupted it will be gone. If one chooses to SUMMON PLAGUE without specifying one, they will be presented with a list of available Plagues.

BIND PLAGUE TO <area>
- Once a Plague has been summoned into existence, the Champion who summoned it may begin the process of attempting to bind it to a specific area. This area does not have to be where it was summoned. If successful, the Plague will travel to the area and begin wandering it, wreaking havoc. If the attempt to bind the Plague to a specific area fails, the Plague will bind to the area it was summoned in, and attempt to kill the Champion who summoned it. Additional individuals may assist in binding the Plague once the summoning Champion has started the process, by simply doing BIND PLAGUE. The more people attempting to bind the plague for longer the more likely the plague will be bound. Champions and high ranked individuals help more in binding than others.

You cannot bind a plague to any area owned or controlled by an organisation. Such as a city, towne, or NPC village.

Additional Information
----------------------------
- Plagues that are bound to an area will roam it until they are slain.

- Plagues will spawn smaller, weaker, but more numerous versions of itself in the area it was bound to.

- If a Plague lives for 4 Imperian days (=4 RL hours), the bound area is claimed by the summoning Champion. An area can only be claimed if the plague was successfully bound by the Champion. Plagues that are bound to an area after a champion binding fails will not credit the champion with ownership of the area.

- Plagues all create an area wide malus, tread carefully!

- If a Champion attacks a Plague, the Plague and its spawn will permanently become aggressive to that Champion.

- The Plague's spawn are loyal to the plague, and thus will not attack people in the area unless that person has previously attacked the Plague.

- Once a Plague is slain, all its loyal spawn and the area wide malus will disperse.
