24.27.3 Goggles

Goggles are a promotional item that can be created using multi-faceted gems. Gems can be traded between players, but goggles are bound to an owner, and cannot be transferred. These gems are also used in the creation of scepters and amulets. (See HELP SCEPTERS and HELP AMULETS)

If you are in possession of a suitable gem, you can do GOGGLES CREATE to create a level 1 pair of goggles. This can only be done once - you cannot have more than one pair of goggles.

Once you have a pair of goggles, you can use more multi-faceted gems to upgrade the goggles - simply ADD <gem> TO GOGGLES. Each gem increases the goggle's level by 1, up to a maximum of 20.

You can use the command GOGGLES INFO to get some basic information about your goggles.

You can use the command GOGGLES RESHAPE to transform the appearence of your goggles. You can do this from level 1, and the descriptions get progressively better as you level your goggles.

Level 1:

Command: OBSERVE <mobile> WITH GOGGLES
View the level, health, resist amount, and attack speed of a mob. 

Level 2:

Command: OBSERVE <player> CONDITION WITH GOGGLES
When observing a player, see their current stats, health, and mana. This has 3 second equilibrium cost.

Level 3:
---------
See through blizzards, obscurity, fog, and other weather issues when worn.
 
Level 4:
---------
Command: OBSERVE <player> SOCIETY WITH GOGGLES
What is the players profession, current city and towne, and enemied locations.

Level 5:
---------
Thirdeye, hypersight, and lifevision no longer have any mana or equilibrium costs when worn.

Level 6:
---------
Command: OBSERVE <mobile> WITH GOGGLES
View some additional basic behaviour information about this mob. 

Level 7:
---------
Command: MINDSEYE
Get the mindseyes defence without the tattoo.

Level 8:
---------
Command: GOGGLES EXITS <on|off> 
See all connected rooms as you move from room to room in an expanded exits line. Works while worn.

Level 9:
---------
Hear while deaf and in high winds. Read the lips of people whispering. Works while worn.

Level 10:
---------
RITES, SECRETS, and TRAPS no longer have an equilibrium cost while worn.

Level 11:

Command: OBSERVE AGGRESSION: 
Scan the room and see what each mob in the room is attacking. 

Level 12:
---------
Command: OBSERVE <player> RIFTS WITH GOGGLES
See what is in a players rift.

Level 13:
---------
You can now see through doors, walls, and other obstacles when using observe or glancing. Passive effect while worn.

Level 14:
---------
Command: OBSERVE <mobile> WITH GOGGLES
What types of damage and afflictions this mob hits with.

Level 15:
---------
Command: OBSERVE <player> SCORE WITH GOGGLES
See a limited version of the targets score.

Level 16:
---------
List the last people to influence a leyline when doing a leyline report. Influence information fades from a leyline after 60 minutes. See AB PERCEPTION LEYLINES for more information.

Level 17:
---------
Command: OBSERVE TRACKS and OBSERVE TRACKS <player>
See who has passed through the room in the last 5 minutes. You may optionally specify a player to see where they went to from this point up to 25 more rooms. The goggles will allow you to see the tracks despite being phased or using other forms of hiding.

Level 18:
---------
Command: OBSERVE <player> RECOVERY WITH GOGGLES
See when a player recovers balance or equilibrium. This is a 60 second defense and has a short eq cost when initially used. You may only observe one target at a time.

Level 19:
---------
You may now get additional information on the WHO list and will be able to see through chameleon. The additional information includes the area they are in, the number of people in the room with them, if they are indoors, and if they are in an active shardfall area. It will not see through veil unless you have one. This does not include QW or BW, it will only work for WHO.

Level 20:
---------
Command: GOGGLES CHARGE and TRUEASSESS <target>
You can funnel mana into your goggles in order to charge it. You may charge your goggles to have 20 uses. Trueassess will now use a charge instead of taking any mana. Trueassess allows you to see the current health and mana of a target with no balance or eq cost. See AB PERCEPTION TRUEASSESS for more information.
