Greetings to all of you. Many of you know me, many of you don't, and
others simply don care. Many of you still won't care after I am through
which is perfectly fine. I just have a few concerns and issues that I
would like to bring up before I fall back into my silent and peaceful
routine.
Firstly, many of you know me for being perhaps the most outspoken of the
Dwarven race. There are few of us and the ones that do exist are
typically peaceful and are satisfied merely to exist at all. If you know
your history you can read of a place known as Kaark'Krazul, the Dwarven
stronghold set into place after my people broke from the iron grasp of
the Horde. There in the Gongen Mountains, my people strove to rebuild
the structured lifestyle which we once enjoyed before we were enslaved.
In my life I am trying to reconstruct the broken pieces and fragments
found throughout the history so that I might better understand and
possibly even witness the resurgence of my kind. I have had the pleasure
of keeping company with a number of my kind throughout the realms but I
am ever in search of others. If you have any sort of information or you
are just wishing to help, please contact me so that we can continue to
work in order to reach this goal which I hold above all else. Thank you
for your time on this issue, now on to the next.
In this bit, I speak of my own free will and speak not for any
organization or person, merely of my own thoughts. Recently there have
been a small surge in forestal exterminations. I don't claim to know the
logic of the persons responsible and have only heard that it is sort of
a statement against the practice known as the Great Rest. All that I
have to say is that, if the only reason that you engage in such
practices is because you think that those of us with the ability to
harvest are lazy then you are more than slightly misguided. The truth
is, we have to work twice as hard in the time leading up to the Great
Rest so that we can have enough supplies to aid the citizens of
Aetherius during this period. I understand that many people out there
lack respect for many things, especially when these things don't align
with their own thoughts.
The only thing that I can say is that, at least in my own eyes, the
Great Rest is a period where we show our respect to Nature for all that
She has given us. We are blessed by the Divine with the ability to make
these wonderful concoctions and the plants reproduce themselves. We are
charged as protectors and nurturers of the forest and as such initiated
this practice to help the earth heal and to show our respect. People who
exterminate cast aside respect for Nature for the sake of essence or
whatever purpose you have but the fact is, without Nature, how prepared
would you be for combat? When you break a limb, or get caught in flame,
when you are afflicted with paralysis or better yet, cyanide, where
would you be without Nature? I simply ask that you think about such
foolish actions before you initiate them. True, even though you do these
deeds you can still purchase Nature's products but just think if your
actions caused you to be unable to enjoy the blessings of Nature, would
you be so eager to make your statement then?
And just before you jump on a "you are just another Asakii Forestal"
train, I would like to point out that I am not. I followed Lord Calix
for a long while and am even still a rogue as I belong with no
particular religious organization. I place my prayers and worship where
I see fit and yes I am a forestal and shall continue to work in Nature's
protection even at my death.
Sorry for the length of this whole ordeal, I just pray that my words
might cause some thinking.
