I have yet again been told recently that I am not entitled to worship my
choice of patron due to my choice of profession. Now this troubles me
greatly as I love my Guild and I love My Lady, so what am I to do?

What I will do is explain, My Lady holds domain over life, a lot of
people misconceive this as purely giving life, but life is not an
instant, it is a journey, a path that defines us all, that journey
eventually ends, when it then passes into Lord Thanatos' realm. Many
people say that I am an Assassin and that I understand only death, but
to understand only death would make me a killer. As an Assassin there is
more to my understanding of the art I enact. Where it may be true that
my Art is the realm of Lord Thanatos, my understanding is greater than
just that, my actions effect lives, the change the courses of life, they
end lives, they cause new ones to begin, they make lives better, they
make lives worse, but in the end, it all effect life.

I could not stand up and call myself an Assassin if I did not understand
or appreciate these things and whilst I may give thanks to Lord Thanatos
for my Art, I praise my Lady for my life and for the way I live it. My
Lady defines the very actions I make from day to day, and whilst all
assassins may not live by this code, I choose to, and I find it
insulting when people accuse me of hypocrisy.

Hopefully you may understand my choices a bit more now, maybe not accept
them, but understand them. And my views will not change, unless my Lady
Epiphany tells me otherwise.
