Kinsarmar, Templars and Stavenn

Peoples of Aetherius,

I am truly sorry to come before the populace of Aetherius and droll on
and
on about something that affects only a small percentage of the living,
but
this must be handled in a public arena to ensure that the full meaning
of
the post falls upon the largest audience possible, in order to induce a
change for all.

Many years ago, the egotistical powers of Kinsarmar and Stavenn decided
that a urinary contests were no longer suitable to prove their
'prowess'.
Apparently, Morpius and the Lokrien line, decided that it was time for
Kinsarmar to get the famed 'low blow' in on Stavenn and declare
themselves
victors within weeks. Unfortunately, those in Stavenn were far more
stubborn
than anyone in Aetherius could have predicted. As such, we had a pitiful
excuse of a war on our hands. This 'war' degenerated into a few sporadic
skirmishes mingled with a lot of blatant and misguided acts of
terrorism. All
in all, both sides of the war looked like children arguing over their
toys.

As I am aware, the breakdown of each respective side in the conflict
came
down to: Kinsarmar/Combative Vahinites/Lokriens (with inconsistent
Antiochan
support) versus Stavenn/Nessajas /Darker-Wytchen. As it stands today,
a large portion of the Kinsarmarians are still in fact Kinsarmarian,
while most
of the combative Vahinites are running under the organizational term
"Templars".
Other than that, the sides remain almost exactly the same as they were.

Recently, an organization known only as the Knights Templar has stepped
forward declaring more or less, that they had stepped out of the "Law
keeper"
role they enjoyed in Antioch to take more of a Legislator, judge, jury,
executioner
approach to their duties. In their scope of duty, they included the
genocide of all
things demonic and/or undead, including the arts of necromancy which
fuel
undeath.

It is here, where I will take a brief stroll down memory lane, recalling
history
that I have both witnessed and heard from multiple accounts. Once long
ago,
and idealist was present within the ranks of the Saboteurs. Such an
idealist
was he, that he chose not only to defend the innocent, but to defend the
innocent against his own guild mates. Much to his dismay, the Crux Shade
was more than opposed to such behavior. After many long debates and
tirades
the organization known as "Thief Catchers" was created to kill, maim,
rob and
otherwise assault people who could possibly be thieves.

Further on down memory lane, a middle aged knight, once a saboteur, was
involved
in some skirmishes where those wielding the powers of undeath and the
powers of
the pit were involved in the physical harm and mental torture of his
honourable self.
As time went on and the struggle ceased to progress, this knight had had
enough.
Packing his bags, he left to begin a new knighthood, a just knighthood.
Out of his
passion, the Knights Templar were born, to hunt down and destroy those
of undeath
and the demon worlds...Interesting, is this is a coincidence, history
repeating itself
I mean.

And now, the Knights Templar have been resting in the safe haven of
Kinsarmar, tending to their wounds and pooling the booty taken from
Stavenn
and her citizens.

After reading over the endless posts addressing 'peace accords' between
the city entities of Kinsarmar and Stavenn, I could not help but notice
one common thread between the two. Regardless of the other inane
requests by each city, both seemed to agree that the other entity would
in fact recognize and respect the sovereignty of the other. This point
having
been established, I could not help but wonder how Kinsarmar, who accused
Stavenn of being a bunch of warmongering gits, could ever consider the
harboring and citizenship of people, who so willingly and blatantly
violate the
peace accord set after the conclusion of our most recent war. It is
quite obvious
that Aronus and Trenon Tal'Saraan, Rumal Eraudan, Pyrael StormWarden,
Kiresa
and Asyrin were involved in a strike/raid on the city-state of Stavenn.
Aronus, Trenon
Rumal and Pyrael then returned to the sanctity of Kinsarmar post-action
to lick their
wounds. As my information states, Pyrael and Rumal were in fact citizens
at the time
of the attack, which is in open violation of the peace accord.

To make matters worse, the Templars, once Thief Catchers, were involved
in robbing
Dregaur S'Sylistha of all his magickal possessions which he uses for
transport, combat
and support. To make his violation complete, Rumal Eruadan, Minister of
Security for
Kinsarmar, declared him an enemy without notifying Dregaur as to the
reasons or actions
that led to his subsequent enemying from Kinsarmar. As the Kinsarmarian
Canon dictates,
those involved in an attack on a peaceful visitor are to be enemied and
fined by Kinsarmar and
to pay reparations to the offended party to equal the loss.

As I see it, Kinsarmar has some soul searching and discussing in its
near future as we all wish
to maintain the current state of peaceful stability in our world at this
time. People are using
Kinsarmar as a safe-haven to conduct renegade terrorist actions upon
another city-state that
Kinsarmar has had a long standing peace accord with. We will see how
true the intentions of
Kinsarmar were to desire peace....

Hello Imperian! Another year passes! A few months from now will mark my second year on Aetherius. Time sure flies! However, the vast majority of this wouldn’t happen without our wonderful team of volunteers.
