Peace Agreement

Written by: The Pearl, Lady Ellarynth Lokrien, Guardian of the Dryads

Greetings Fair Stavenn,

I have been asked to respond to your terms of peace as the voice of
Kinsarmar, and in light of recent events I find myself compelled to as
well. I would like to first bring up the reasons that these terms were
wrote up by you and your council. When in fact they should be labled as
Terms of Tyrany and not Terms of Peace. After our council was presented
these terms a cease fire was requested upon by Kinsarmar for a period of
three months, which would have given us time to respond to your demands.
This request was not answered and it was assumed refused, when our
citizens were still being attacked at our gates
and when Luthyr was summoned from our Lord Janus' presence and killed
only a day later by you and your city. I would also like to point out
that when doing so M'Lord Janus came to the aide of Luthyr. When Lord
Janus entered the room I was shocked to find out that one such as
yourself did infact bow to M'Lord. I was under the impression that one
such as you bowed to no one.
I also find it strange that you agreed to the peace summit in Khandava
as long as the Duke apologised for the needless insults written about
you and your city. This apology was made and you went back on your word
and refused the peace summit. Now that I have pointed out a few of these
thing, let me
move toward the title that you give your city, Fair Stavenn. Let me now
point out the definition of the word fair. Fair, definition (1) Of
pleasing appearance, especially because of a pure or fresh quality. (2)
Free of
blemishes or stains, clean and pure. (3) Just to all parties, equitable.
(4) Consistant with rules, logic and ethics. After reviewing these
definitions
and your most recent behavior, I have determined that you should find
another title for your "fair" city. Now with all that being said, let me
move
the autocracy that you have proposed in your Terms of "Peace".

Non-negotiable Terms

Term I - End of attacks upon the two cities
1.1 We are in agreement that all raids between the cities inside
eachothers cities should cease. Allowences must be made for persons with
viable reason in attacking said persons or groups. When members of
either city attacks another out side of that city's jurisdiction it is
not always a city matter. But attacks made in retribution from acts of
the war shall not be allowed.

1.2 No cities can mandate the actions of another person or group outside
of their jurisdiction. If members of Vahin's order attacks Stavenn or
it's citizens then it is with their order that you must seak
retributions. We cannot be held responsible for another city's or groups
actions.

1.3 Cataclysm within the gates of Kinsarmar shall only be used on city
enemies that are outside Stavenn. During conflicts that are not city
related, the cataclysm must be done outside of Kinsarmar's walls.

1.4 Cruel Lament cannot be done within the city of Kinsarmar due to the
nonexistance of cruel lament sites within the city. If it is done on an
individual outside of the city, it does not become an attack on the city
that they move into. Cruel lament on persons inside of Stavenn would be
considered an offensive action.

Term 2 - Open Trade
Neither can one require that the member of any guild has to sell to any
one particular person or organization. We will not place mandates upon
the guilds of this city requiring that they sell their wares to any
persons or group. We feel that all trade bans should be lifted that were
in result of the war, but however cannot force the guilds to do so.

Term 3 - Totems
Another one that we can agree upon is the placement of totems outside of
city jurisdiction. Totems tuned to city enemies shall only be allowed
inside that city's boundaries. Each city should also be allowed to put
totems a certain number of rooms outside their city gates. For totems
that are sold see
Term 2 - Open Trade. If this is agreed upon, totems can be removed by
either city outside city jurisdiction without either party being in
violation of the treaty.

Term 4 - Open citizenship
No person, organization, or city, can force a guild to allow citizenship
to certain citys. The Mages and Lorkeepers guild require that their
members are citizens of Kinsarmar and are required to be as such because
they are the promised defenders of this city. The bards do not allow
citizenship to Stavenn because it would go against the moral ethics that
the guild has established. The Kinsarmarian guilds are not the under
direct influence of the Kinsarmarian government and shall remain as
such.

Negotiable Terms

Option 1 - Gold reparations
No gold payments shall be made by either city to the other. War is
war..it comes with a price.

Option 2 - The end of the Lokrien rule
For the record I would like to state that this war is not a Lokrien vs.
Stavenn War. This war is because of the tyrany that your city has
enflicted upon the whole of Aetherius. And I, being a Lokrien, was not
informed of this war, neither was most of my family. This decision was
make by the Duke of Kinsarmar. The citizens of Kinsarmar have voted my
family into their positions because it was their choice to do so. The
freedom that they are given to choose their leaders will not be taken
away from them.

Option 3 - The extradition of Anarion Reopev
This city chose Anarion Reopev as its Tactician not so that he could
turn upon his former enemies, but to guide us in the defensive and
offensive actions that this city would take when the need called. The
Duke of Kinsarmar apologised over the public board reguarding the
insults that have been slung about, as per your request. So the fact
that he has insulted you is no longer in question because the apology
that you required was made. Anarion has earned his place in this city as
well as our trust, we shall not throw one that we love and hold dear to
the wolves. To do so would be placing each death that he faced on our
hands.

Option 4 - Commodity subservience
This would be the same as our city paying yours gold for reparations. I
will state once again that no payments shall be made by either city to
the other.

Option 5 - Religious conversion
This city has never accepted shrines of Lord Aesir within the city nor
will it. This choice had nothing to do with this war and shall not be
brought up in the terms of peace. We shall not citizen your missionaries
nor allow them to force religious conversion upon our citizens. All of
our citizens are
allowed the freedom of choosing their own religious convictions.

This is Kinsarmars response to each of your demands that you wish to
place on the citizens of Kinsarmar. Once again we extend our hand to you
in peace. These terms shall be discussed in the peace summit that you
once agreed upon or can be agreed upon now. Until peace can be
accomplished, we will continue to be at odds and keep wasting gold on
public posting. We hope that these terms are acceptable, and if not we
hope that we can meet at the summit of peace in Khandava to discuss
them.

Penned by my hand on the 7th of Bellum, in the year 418 AD.
