Forestals,
Let me start by saying that I don't rely on your herbs, and don't need
most of them to live. They are a convience and a help to me, yes, and a
priviledge, not a right. I agree with this. If I kill and raid your
kind, mark your grove as my territory, and rampage through your
councils, I would expect to have my priviledge revoked. If I purchase
your gifts, I would not expect to be held in contempt of your treaties.
Let me explain how things work.
One. Most of the world doesn't care or follow with the current treaty
prices. If you say it's for 5 gold, I'm going to believe you--even if I
knew or cared of the treaties between Khandava, Celidon, Hunters and
Arboreals. Who am I to question what this Hunter or Arboreal wishes to
price his -time- at. That's all it is, time. It takes time to forge, it
takes time to harvest, it takes time to enchant and time to preserve.
It's the individuals time, not the guilds or the councils. So if they
have a lot of time and don't mind selling their time for free, comms, or
1 gold, that's their perrogative.
Two. If you have a problem inside your treaty (Khandava, Celidon,
Hunters, and Arboreals) with people undercutting it, then deal with it.
You can not hold the customer accountable. Like Jagara said, you can't
invoke punishment on the world that didn't agree to your treaties. We
won't stand for it. If you have a problem in your guild, deal with it.
Your customers are the world, so in your best interest, don't alienate
all of them. If I buy at 50 gold, I'll sell at whatever I want. If I
make a profit or not, that's my perrogative, and again, you have no say
in it, nor will you ever, unless I join Khandava, Celidon, the Hunters
or Arboreals. Take care of your guild and council problems, and don't
involve the world by claiming dominance over everyone.
If you are going to impose a treaty on all of the world that all of us
must adhere to, then you propose one to us, and we'll think about it.
Until then, your treaty is null and void to the outside world not under
any of your direct control. It's between your council and guild, keep it
there, and the world won't have any objections. You can sell at whatever
you want, but you will never punish the world for buying them, or
selling them. Again, it's not our problem one of you undercut the
prices. Deal with it inside your councils and guilds. Morgain might not
be a member of any of those, and as such, she never agreed to the
pricing. She can sell her time at whatever price she wants, in my
opinion. I could be wrong.
