Mercantilism

Kana hoo, and my greetings upon you, sons and daughters of the Wilds.

Friend Luthyr, you are right in o so many ways, as are you, Aspirant
Galadan.
I am no wordsmith, as are the Bards of the Five Towers, so my message
will be brief... the Wilds and the glorious fruits that come forthwith
are not meant so load down the wagons of traders and merchants, packed
and preserved in casks and crates. Nay, neither are they meant to bring
glittering metal to the bejeweled fingers of merchant families. Our
arcane craft is a sacred one, and an ancient one, dating back to our
founding fathers, blessed by the Wild One.

Our herbs heal, our elixirs nourish. They were never meant to build
grand palaces, caravans of wagons and beasts of burden, or dot the
fingers of the rich with sparkling things of the earth.

Voice of Asaka

Penned by my hand on the 12th of Ultio, in the year 413 AD.
