Love

ENRAPTURED
Loves hidden trails lead from whence
To where I know not for this seeming mix
Of lonesome joy that burns like a flame
Unquenchable as heavens most holy name
Forbidden fragrance of the only one
To whom a poem is a but token
Of love yet to be revealed
And of lips yet to be unsealed
By the wonder of exhilaration in a dream
But no one yet knows what this may mean
So should we walk the trails of earnest ambition
Across the landscape of this creation?
O terrible question that haunts this house
And races, paces, though quiet as a mouse
Infernal flame that love thinks to be
And wispy willow that entices me
Speak of secrets kept long frozen in a place
So that you would never have to be afraid
Pristine glory that fills emptiness with contentment
You have captured me in your entrapment
I do not wish to be set free
This prison is where I wish to be
I am your willing bounty, I yield to your capture
And here remain forever enraptured

Penned by my hand on the 6th of Tenebrae, in the year 420 AD.
