One never knows what might rise from the shadows

The first sign of a large herd of fell beasts was seen a few months ago,
roaming the east mountains. The threat was quickly beaten down as
Kinsarmar pulled together with amazing speed, however the peace was
short-lived as earlier this month a tremor was felt through the city.
There were some initial suggestions that this might be the result of a
curse thrust upon the city of Kinsarmar, while others focused solely on
eradicating the threat. As the echo of stone cracking and shifting in
the distance revealed yet one more onslaught of the beasts, the citizens
once again joined together and began to forge their way through an even
larger herd of these beasts of Dis.

Led by Xanthus, this group soon found where the beasts were emerging, in
waves that were at first hard to contain, they entered a large shadowed
crack in the black stone of the mountains cliffs. With Kinsarmar
seemingly occupied several of the beasts found their way to the city
itself, as well as the nearby highlands. Their home under attack by the
fell beasts, cries of instruction were quickly echoed throughout the
city "Break up and sweep", "Fellbeast in the city, everyone fall back!"
and "Defend your home", quickly rising to a battle formation to meet the
threat. To the amusement of some Xanthus, admitting he was inattentive
for a moment, was threatened with a "flogging later" by Vadush. -
Amusing for an aspiring cartographer whose trail was broken when he fell
into a large hole...inattentive, or was something else at hand?

Soon the threat was removed and the group, once again led by Xanthus
returned to what is now known as Macabre Tunnels, twisted tunnels of
fire and brimstone, they retained their humour even as they fought off
the beasts and shadows. "How would one go about sealing it?" - in
regards to the newly formed crack in the stone...."Stuff it with
Maglust".

Penned by my hand on the 18th of Aequitas, in the year 490 AD.

Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…

Onward to 2021

Hi folks! This year has been a challenge on many of us, and I can only hope the next year goes by more smoothly. Having said that, we have reached the end of 2020, woo! This was my first not-quite-a-year on Imperian, and it has been a whole learning experience. It has been a bit…
