From within the shadows

The shadows converged today as fell beasts from Dis began to appear in
the Upper Realm. The city of Kinsarmar rose to aid Khandava in a
seemingly endless task as the beasts continued to emerge.

Several people have continued to beseech Chaken for guidance on the
matter of the dryad, as well as the emergence of the fell beasts, but he
has maintained that he cannot know the will of Lord Thanatos, nor was he
willing to get involved in any type of negotations. Juganothion Gazali,
the Arm of Death, saw an opportunity and reacted quickly.

As many people continued to fight off the fell beasts, Shylough, the
Prophetess of Khandava, and Juganothion Gazali met in the Upper Church
of Death. Negotiations began to unfold and be finalized before witnesses
Martyn Faris and Ysaviel Savet-Fel'Amrit. Amidst the many queries and
suggestions that all may not be as it appeared, Juganothion's plans came
to be.

In exchange for a few million gold, the death of two council members,
and a fare of 1 token to use the tree as passage from Dis...Juganothion
agreed to return the dryad to the tree in Khandava, thereby restoring it
and ending the onslaught of the fell beasts in the Upper Realm.

The gold offered to Lord Thanatos and the deaths of Shylough and her
witness Ysaviel brought the agreement to fruitation. Even as the look of
pure amusement crossed Juganothion's face and he told them of his
deception, the piercing cries of fell beasts echoed across the lands as
even more horrifying beasts began to emerge.

Why have they come? Are they a result of the kidnapping of the
Dryad..does Dis hold more sway the longer she is separated? Who can
really know what plans the Dark Lord has in store...

However, the vast majority of this wouldn’t happen without our wonderful team of volunteers. Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…

Onward to 2021

Hi folks! This year has been a challenge on many of us, and I can only hope the next year goes by more smoothly. Having said that, we have reached the end of 2020, woo! This was my first not-quite-a-year on Imperian, and it has been a whole learning experience. It has been a bit…
