"..I mean to have My due..", so echoed the words of Chaken, the
Archpriest of Death among the ruins of Caanae. Chaken and Ananda, the
Alpha Female of Lady Asaka, met among a crowd, inspired in mind and
spirit by their respective Divines. They clashed in a war of words over
the Arythian Rowan, the tree within Khandava that allows quick passage
of souls from Dis.

In an attempt to remove the Tree that frees souls so easily, Lord
Thanatos appealed to the Lady Asaka as the Mistress of all things Wild.
Chaken spoke of retribution owed to both Gods due to the venom and
blasphemy upon mortal tongues throughout the years. He offered joint
strength in tones of veiled threats, quoting their kinship from the
pines to the predator.

Uninterested and wary as the Rowan was not even Her doing, the Goddess
rebuffed Lord Thanatos' proposal of an alliance. Ananda proclaimed that
the fate of the Wilds intertwined equally between Lady Epiphany and Lord
Thanatos, and Lady Asaka would not tamper with the natural progression.
Impatiently, Chaken bowed out of Caanae to take matters into his own
hands.

Mairya, the dryad of the Arythian Rowan, innocently played around her
beloved tree when cold swept over her body. The shadows of the
Underworld came at Chaken's bidding and swept the sweet dryad away. She
is now His captive, and through her, the Lord of Death controls the
Tree. Who can say what will happen next as the sobs of the heart-broken
and frightened dryad fill the land?
