The Secrets of the Flames

A number of unnerving noises pealed forth from the Yhumara Isles this month, thundering across the lands as a glow emerged on the horizon. A number of concerned individuals ventured forth to the Isles to investigate, but all that could be found was a secret ritual of the Cult of the Eternal Flame.

The entity named Omyedhi was witnessed there, her venture to seek out all information apparently leading her to the company of the cult of Eternal Flame. Though the exact events of the ritual are unknown, what is known is that the entity attempted to join herself to the plane of fire in the effort to draw even more knowledge and power of the world to herself. The ensuing explosion rocked surrounding areas, giving concern to a possible volcanic explosion, but only the being Samaos emerged.

Upon her emergence, Samaos, the Dread Flame was attached to the Cult of the Eternal Flame, those in attendance rumoured to have been blooded and branded in the service of the Flame. While it is also rumoured that an outsider was slain during this ritual, the name of this one has been obscured. As evidenced, the secrets of the flames yet remain to be discovered by those who have not pledged following to the Dread Flame.
