The Discovery of the Nocteil Glades

Hidden away in the deep reaches of the Reate Forest for centuries
undisturbed, the Nocteil Glades lay home to various creatures living
harmoniously among each other, mainly the Centaur race led by Galadyre,
Lord of the Centaurs, and Merieke the Elven Ranger. That was until an
young adventurous centaur colt by the name of Darsorei, the son of
Galadyre, decided to disobey the ancient laws that had been in place for
centuries, and wander outside the boundaries of the glades. As he
wandered the local Reate Forest he stumbled upon an odd looking, two
legged creature he had never seen before, adventurous explorers by the
name of Ikitae Da'Saison, Yandra Vian'Cirith and Kildare Daemondred.
Having found them to be fascinating creatures Darsorei enquired about
their homes and where they were from, then offered to take them to his
father, the Lord of Centaurs and the ruler of the Nocteil Glades.

Excited about his new found friends, Darsorei took them beyond the
silver mists which shrouded the Glades entrance, chanting 'An-da
Shealladh' they were soon engulfed into the mist and found themselves
before an old weeping willow. Darsorei led them through the underwater
tunnels to a beautiful waterfall. After wandering through the Glades
with awe and wonder, they arrived at the Hut of Galadyre. Though
unbeknown to the colt the laws of the Glade forbade any outsiders from
entering and his father became enraged and punished his son severely.
Galadyre then turned to the mortals demanding they leave as he knew they
were cruel and unjust creatures. Yandra tried to calm the Centaur Lord
assuring him that not all mortals were cruel, though unheard by Galadyre
he readied his spear. Kildare tried to back Yandra up in her words
though Galadyre had had enough, and challenged Kildare. Galadyre reared
up onto his hind legs and thrust his spear at Kildare beginning the
battle between Centaur and Tanari. Galadyre struck Kildare down though
the Stars blessed him with new life. Yandra jumped to the defense of her
companion, though Kildare not wanting harm to fall on her asked her to
cease her attacks and using his unique war dancing brought the final
blow to The Lord of Centaurs.

After hearing the war cry of the mortals that his Father had been
beaten, Darsorei commanded the loyal Saber-toothed Tigers to defend
their home from mortals and to kill any who would enter. The sabretooths
soon brought many mortals down before they too were slain.

Galadyre returned to his hut and called out to the fighters, asking for
them to return to him for he wished to speak. Having discovered the
innocents of Yandra and her compassionate words and the honorable duel
with Kildare, Galadyre decided that the mortals of today weren't the
savage ones of the past and decided to allow mortals to return to his
home once again.

Penned by my hand on the 8th of Letum, in the year 409 AD.

2021 and Beyond

Hello Imperian! Another year passes! A few months from now will mark my second year on Aetherius. Time sure flies! However, the vast majority of this wouldn’t happen without our wonderful team of volunteers. Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…

Onward to 2021

Hi folks! This year has been a challenge on many of us, and I can only hope the next year goes by more smoothly. Having said that, we have reached the end of 2020, woo! This was my first not-quite-a-year on Imperian, and it has been a whole learning experience. It has been a bit…
