Cataclysm

There was nearly an equal amount of talk on the forums about Cataclysm.
Again, it was deemed that Cataclysm could be used abusively.

For this ability, I define the 'abuse' in that a small group of Mages
can effectively limit the movements of and harass anyone in the entire
world, with absolutely no risk to themselves.

- If you cast a spell through a Cataclysm vibe against a
shielded target, you will now lose equilibrium. This is
really more of a bug fix, as nearly all attacks that hit
a shield result in the attacker losing equilibrium.

- There is a (slight) chance that spells cast through a
Cataclysm vibe against a shielded target will rebound
back against the caster.

- Casting a spell through a Cataclysm vibe against a target
that resides in a location known to suffer from (or be
blessed with, depending on your perception) the
phenomenon known as "magickal surges" may cause you to
experience a backlash of the magick cast to that location.

Penned by my hand on the 11th of Ferinus, in the year 455 AD.
