I am pleased to announce, docent applications are now open. We're looking for some top-notch roleplayers to add to our team, so now's your chance to get your name in if you think you might be a good fit.

For those of you who aren't aware, docents are players who volunteer their time to do freeform roleplay. They are given various resources to accomplish this end, such as the ability to take control of a mobile (NPC, or Non-Player Character) and speak through it, among other things. The goal of the docent program is to enrich the experience of Imperian's players by providing engaging roleplay, and a to provide a backdrop for your characters that 'comes to life'. Docents are also often recruited to help when larger Divine-orchestrated events are being run.

What are we looking for in a docent? Good question, I'm glad you asked. A good docent should be mature, willing to work with others, and an excellent roleplayer. He or she should also be flexible and inventive and full of ideas, and be able to play a range of personalities.

Applications should be sent to docents@imperian.com, and will require the following information:

1) Character name(s) -- Please include the names of any and all characters you play in Imperian.
2) Real name, and age.
3) Hours of regular availability, and your timezone.
4) An explanation of why you think you'd make a good docent.
5) Answer the question, in as many or as few words as you need, "What is good roleplay?"
6) Give an example of a time where you(or someone you know) experienced good interaction with a docent or Divine-controlled mob, such as in an event. Give an example where the interaction was bad. Provide reasons why for both.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention. If you send in an application, your personal roleplay will be observed over a period of time, as a part of the process to determine which applicants will be accepted.
