We're looking for new Celani. If you're relatively new to Imperian, and
don't really know what Celani are (it's been a while since we selected
new ones), Celani are basically the path to Godhood. People apply to be
Celani, they do some small amount of work that is normally what Gods
would be doing, we learn about you, get to know you, and find out if
we'd like to make you a permament addition to our team.
The process is really pretty simple. You apply. We read your
applications. If we don't know much about you, we might call you up for
a brief interview. If you are selected, we make you a Celani.
Your first order of business as a Celani will be to describe yourself,
then you will make yourself a nice set of clothes. Then, you will create
and program a small pet for yourself.
Your next task will be to build a small area. This is because all
aspects of Godhood require that you have some familiarity with the
building concepts and commands. Don't worry though, because if you
really hate building, this is the only real area that you'll ever have
to build!
After your area is approved and released, you'll be promoted to
Demi-God. From there, all you have to do is complete a few more
projects. However, at this point, the types of projects you can work on
are completely open-ended. If you want to deal exclusively with
roleplay, that's great! If you want to work exclusively on coding new
quests, that's awesome! If you want to keep building, that's even
better!
To summarize, we're basically looking for a wide variety of positive,
pleasant people who are interested in helping make Imperian better.
All new Celani will be required to submit a signed volunteer agreement
form that can be found at:
http://www.imperian.com/volunteer_agreement.pdf
To apply to be a Celani, please send the following information to
celani@imperian.com:
1) All of your character names
2) Your real-life name
3) Your real-life birthdate
- I'm sorry, but we cannot accept anybody under 18
4) A short paragraph about why you think you would make a good Celani.
5) A short paragraph about what God you would want to play and why.
6) A short paragraph about your interests in becoming a Celani in
Imperian. Are you a builder? Are you a coder? Are you primarily
interested in roleplay? What are you interested in that you can offer to
Imperian.
Unfortunately, we're never able to accept all of the applicants that
apply. However, if you are not accepted, this does not mean that we feel
you would not be a welcome member of the team. Imperian needs excellent
players just as much, if not more, than we need excellent Gods. If you
are not chosen as a Celani, there's a very good chance that you weren't
chosen because we feel Imperian is better served with you as an
influential player.
