I would like to announce a Literary Contest, with what I consider to be
an exciting subject. Write a short story based on your characters point
of view, about an event that he or she has been involved in. This is not
to be in essay form, but a short story relaying your characters actions,
reactions and participation in an Imperian event. For example, if your
character went to the opening of the Red Carnival, you could write how
the sounds and sights of it affected your character, what you saw and
how your character felt about it. Another loose example would be
something similar to the work by Lia, "Year of Nightmares: A historical
accounting" which is on the website under bardic entries. If you have
any questions please do not hesitate to ask me.

Submissions deemed vulgar or obscene will not be tolerated, and possibly
even be punished. Acts of plagiarism will not be tolerated, and will
most certainly be punished.

There is a limit of 1500 words per work, and only one submission per
person. The contest will open immediately, and will be judged with the
winners announced by March 30th 2009. Submissions received after March
29th 2009 will not be considered for entry.

The winner of the Literary Contest will receive a prestigious title
added to their honours, as well as three hundred credits.

The submission to receive second place will receive two hundred credits,
and the third place submission will receive one hundred credits.

The top ten submissions will be added to the Bardic Works of Imperian,
and will be able to be read from the website. Please send your
