Salutations mortals!

The time has come to put pen, pencil or paint to paper, and present to
us the essence of that which runs within your veins. We wish to see the
very essence of the noble, or indeed ignoble, families that run about
the land and yet go unrecognised by the very choosy monks of the
Bloodline Registry. We shall be running two contests in tandem this
month, one Literary in nature, and the other Artistic.

For the Literary, we wish to see a piece written about your family,
perhaps a history of its founding, or an important member of it, in
whatever form you choose, be it poetry, a short story, or some other
literary device. It must, however, be family-centric in order to be
considered, and consist of no more than two thousand words.

For the Artistic, we wish to see similar, a work that centres on the
family, perhaps a crest, important family scene, or a family portrait.
The important word here, of course, is family!

HELP LITERARY or HELP ARTISTIC has the various rules and regulations, as
well as how to submit. Remember, it must be original, by you, and also
not something previously submitted to an Imperian contest. The deadline
is 2359 GMT (by the TIME command) on January 16th, 2008. You may enter
one piece in each contest, but only one!

What are the prizes, I hear you ask? Well, First place in each will net
the winner 300 credits, with Second getting 200, and Third 100!

But wait, there is more! As well as credits, those in first, second or
third of each contest will also receive their own Bloodline! Isn't that
nice of us? Now those of you without one can found your own. Note that
if you are already in a bloodline but want to form your own and win, you
can do so. If you possess one but do not want to found a new bloodline,
then you can chose to reject this part of the prize and just play for
the credits!
