Magick, Demons and Anti-Magick

When I was young, long before you were birthed and much longer before you were leadership within Antioch, Antioch was a city that reviled Magick and Demons. When I was young, Antioch and Ithaqua banded together as one strong entity to crush opposition. When I was young, there was none of this foolishness about trying to make friends with the enemy.

Ithaqua has remained steadfast in this, in spite of the occasional dissonance of some of our citizens in the past. Antioch has not. For a time, Antioch was overtaken by individuals who came from Kinsarmar, and Celidon, and likely Stavenn and Khandava. Individuals who did not uphold the was of Antioch. Individuals who allowed it to erode.

Your council, your leader, made a wise decision. Magick is an abomination. Demons are an abomination. Many of our skills revolve around combating these abominations. All Laeka has done is return Antioch to its rightful place as a city for those who revile such things.

The elder citizens of Ithaqua stand by your decision, Laeka, and all who made this decision with you. Ignore the dissenters. If they desire so badly to associate with Magick and Demons, let them go be with Magick and Demons. Let them cut out the wound that is themselves, for the betterment of Antioch.

Meat for your pack, Antioch.

Penned by my hand on the 25th of Naturalis, in the year 145 AM.
