Believe it or not, there is a method to my madness. I've rarely taken
steps to curb senseless violence and have participated in some of it
myself, because of a simple truth. When people have power, they seek to
use it. If Stavenn expelled warriors for waging war, we would soon have
no warriors. They would go somewhere else, and Stavenn would become the
victim as opposed to the bully. There is always a bully and always a
victim, who is who can change and often even directly reverse but the
rule is absolute on the macro level.

I wouldn't mind international treaties, but bloodlust must be satisfied
somehow or seeking peace is not only impossible but suicidal.

With these ideas in mind, I've come up with a possible idea to try and
entertain us. If it worked well then perhaps even international peace
treaties could be worked on.

Basically, it is a tournament, though the rules would be unorthodox and
it would take place outside of any coliseum. In this sense someone not
arriving for a scheduled fight etc. wouldn't be an issue as many of the
battles would not be directly scheduled. I won't go into the details of
what I have planned here right now, but contestants would pay an
entrance fee which would contribute to the prizes for the various
places. People in this tournament could fight for gold, for fame, for
their own entertainment and maybe even for peace.

If such games would achieve the lofty goal of sating international
bloodlust, they would have to have contestants from every part of the
world. If you're reading this and would be interested in participating
in this experimental tournament for a 1,000 gold entrance fee, please
message me. If enough people are interested I will take the gold and go
through the work of organizing this test, post the rules etc.
