Greetings, Ellarynth.
For the moment, I'm going to ignore the fact that the tone of your post
was one akin to that of a spoiled child who has finally had her toys
taken away for abusing them and address you as you did not address us -
with a small amount of a respectful tone.
You see, Ellarynth, you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar,
and quite honestly your words do not shed any light on your purported
innocence. You think what we have done has discredited you? Your own
words have discredited you far more than anything I could ever have said
or done. You cannot prove your innocence by immediately declaring war on
a sovereign state because of it punishing you. If your first resort is
war, and as far as I can see it is seeing how you have not even seen fit
to attempt communication with us, then you are only proving correct
every bad thing that has been said about you.
I might as well come out and admit that, yes, as a servant of the people
of Kinsarmar I voted that you be removed from our city. The only thing I
would have done different, personally, is that I would have waited until
you were present to carry out the sentence for your crimes. You claim
innocence of these crimes, yet instead of offering proof as to your
innocence when we had an abundance of it pointing at the exact opposite
fact, your first move is to declare war on Kinsarmar with your family.
For years as an Erege of Kinsarmar, I have sought to punish those who
have violated the laws of our home. I have not targetted any citizen for
being a member of your family or for being a member of any other family.
You know it's funny how every time one of your family breaks the law,
you cried 'witch hunt' and grasped at any possible straw to lessen or
eliminate the punishment. Yet when anyone ever tread on the toes of your
family in a way which did not violate the law of Kinsarmar, you were all
too ready to jump to the opportunity to brand them enemies of the city
as well.
Kinsarmar is not what it is because of the good graces of the Lokrien
family. That you think so is further evidence that, quite frankly, you
run your family like some kind of deranged mafia. Luthyr, your dear,
dear brother, has been raiding our city already at every opportunity.
During many of these, I have stood in the room with you, while mimicking
the appearance of another as I frequently do, while you have entered
into our sewer grates to hunt. The most you have done to defend the city
from him has consisted of you making some cock-eyed deal with him in
which he would not attack the city during your pregnancy so your child
could be born in peace - a deal which clearly benefited you and Luthyr,
but robbed the citizens of even the basic rights to defend themselves
outside city walls or else the raiding would reignite, and which deal
was broken not even a full month hence. Still, you pressed the issue,
seeking to have Luthyr's punishment lessened - all the while citizens
were dying trying to keep the inner city safe from his attacks. Yes, I
see exactly how the graces of the Lokrien family have served us.
Your citizenship and position were not taken from you because you are a
Lokrien. I could not possibly care less about that. I voted to remove
them from you because of the detriment you as an individual were to the
city. Yes, I have seen to the removal of more than one of your family
from the city, but as a whole they have been among the biggest offenders
of the law for many years and that is why they were punished.
If you wish to declare war, go right ahead. It seems to me that Luthyr
has already been seeing to that single-handedly anyway. I do hope you at
least consulted your family before doing so, unlike when you and
Morphius chose to declare war on Stavenn without so much as a 'Hey guys,
we're going to go declare war on Stavenn' to anyone else on the Council.
Servant of Kinsarmar, not his own whims,
