Dirty.. laundry? Dirty... people? Eh?

Greetings, Jagara:

I do not believe in sniffing around in the business of others, nor do I
believe any of us are obliged to answer you, but I will. Propaganda is a
powerful tool, and perhaps you think you have mastered it by spreading
such declarations and catch-phrases around, so I accede:

If I may quote: "Treaties between the Celidon, Khandava, Hunters and
Arboreals are not treaties all of Aetherius has agreed to."

First and foremost, you fail to understand one vital thing: We are not
required to ask Aetherius' agreement on anything. Saboteurs do not ask
Aetherius what they want to pay for toxins, and forgers do not ask
knights what they wish to pay for their longsword or sabre.

Who learns the art of an herbalist? Who tends the forests? Who serves
that which we obtain our gifts?

Who is down on their hands and knees begging for customers to fill their
pockets with gold? I daresay I am comfortable enough with the
proceedings of my flower shop that I most certainly am not. You mistake
our ranks for gold-hungry savages, spending their time squirreled away
in their groves and campfires plotting how to better take your money
from you! Foiled again! Yes, thats us to a T, Jagara. Not much escapes
you!

In addition to that statement, we are not 'granted' control of the
forests. The forests grant their protection to us because we work, live
and die for them, and not serve some dark underlord with promises of
power and wealth and fame which seems to be the trend nowadays.

You also seem to be assuming that we are not open to change. Grievances
can be made politely to any of the Celidon or Khandava leadership. Acts
are written on parchment, not stone, and are indeed adaptable to the
change of lifestyles that may or may not be needed in the near or far
future.

So, please, do not try to run the Councils and Guilds of Nature from
Stavenn. Herbs, elixirs, and salves are gifts from Nature. They do not
come with the obligations and chains that they have evolved into, but
that would be the mindless consumption at work there.

Lavinia

2021 and Beyond

Hello Imperian! Another year passes! A few months from now will mark my second year on Aetherius. Time sure flies! However, the vast majority of this wouldn’t happen without our wonderful team of volunteers. Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…

Onward to 2021

Hi folks! This year has been a challenge on many of us, and I can only hope the next year goes by more smoothly. Having said that, we have reached the end of 2020, woo! This was my first not-quite-a-year on Imperian, and it has been a whole learning experience. It has been a bit…
