The Justicars

Hello, Aetherius.

I come to you all on this day with the truth of what has happened to my
guild. As some of you have heard already, many of of my guild have been
enemied to Antioch. I would like to tell you the facts, and not the
propaganda about what happened to date. It seems that this has been
brewing for awhile, a little more than a year ago Fieran spoke to me
about her displeasure about one guild policy that the guild enacted by
referendum. She strongly disliked the fact that the guild was allowing
Justicars to become citizens of cities other than Antioch. Some months
after that we began to be attacked on the city boards for this, I had no
wish to debate guild policy on such a public forum so I abstained from
responding. Some of my guild members took a different stance on the
issue and defended the Justicars passionately on those boards. A month
or so passed then Fieran stated her extreme displeasure on our guild
channel, while we were being attacked by several citizens on the city
channel, and had a private meeting with Sir Lucien. Shortly after that
Sir Horis, a private servant of Lord Vahin, met with Lucien and Stavros.
I heard that Lord Vahin had stated that if all the Justicars who were
not currently living in Antioch did not return they would be outguilded.
I decided to call a guild meeting to discuss the guild's options, during
this meeting it was decided to recall all Justicars back to Antioch
while we determined our future course as a guild. We began by bringing
Darus back, and we planned to bring Mithhuine and Nadasi back too as
soon as possible. Drakov was reluctant to lose all his prestige in
Kinsarmar so he asked that he be allowed to council with his Father,
Lord Janus, first. During this meeting, it seems that Aronus had
shadowed one of our guildmates in while phased, he took offense to some
of the opinions expressed by some of our members about how this
situation came about and how Lord Vahin had handled it. Also some
suggested that we look for a new Patron, who would truly help us and
fairly council us. Shortly afterward, members of Lord Vahin's Order
began to attempt to summon Justicars out of our guild hall. We decided
to move the meeting to Celidon, we discussed what had happened for a
short time and then we heard a shout from Lady Fieran stating that we
were all unworthy of being Justicars and she would no longer teach us.
And then we saw a cloud gather over Antioch and I was slain by Lord
Vahin's zap while in Celidon. While I traveled to Dis, I was kicked from
Antioch and branded as a enemy for "High Treason". Shortly thereafter a
similar fate befell several of our guild members. I never in any way,
shape, or form advocated that the Justicars leave Antioch as a guild and
I deeply regret that it was brought to this.

2021 and Beyond

Hello Imperian! Another year passes! A few months from now will mark my second year on Aetherius. Time sure flies! However, the vast majority of this wouldn’t happen without our wonderful team of volunteers. Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…

Onward to 2021

Hi folks! This year has been a challenge on many of us, and I can only hope the next year goes by more smoothly. Having said that, we have reached the end of 2020, woo! This was my first not-quite-a-year on Imperian, and it has been a whole learning experience. It has been a bit…
