The year of Rest

Greetings,

I believe you missed my point a little, as I really did not mean that
the Wardens were a part of the problem, but that they were a part of the
solution. For many decades the Arboreals have maintained the tradition
of the year of Rest and we will continue to do so, why? I do not see the
year of Rest as a punishment, I see it as giving a little back to
Nature, after we shared its bounty for nine full years, by giving it a
year to replenish Itself.

The year of Rest was never intended as a punishment, I remember the
thought that went into its creation many decades ago, it is intended as
a celebration of Nature in all its splendor, a chance for Nature to
gather its strength without our influence.

Arboreals are also held to the same standards as the Wardens when it
comes to how much they can harvest from a plant, we do take our role
very seriously and the Wardens also have our utmost respect.

Sincerely,
Caitlin Ruadh

Penned by my hand on the 18th of Ferinus, in the year 469 AD.
