The Circle-Hopper

The pretty piece, the sovereign
was minted in the north.
And soon was scooped up by a Druid
who knew not of its worth.
A single in a million,
and yet this one was chosen
Was handed off to Mathyew
for pineapple sorbet, frozen.
T'was scooped up by a little fox,
who came one day to raid.
And claimed this penny for her own,
and so she was twice-paid.
Into those Imperious gates
this goin was next to go,
until was given to a novice girl
a gift to help her grow.
She held it tight for nigh a year
Then traded it for armour
this golden one shined crystal clear
handed to a Demon charmer.
This numbed fellow often went
and hunted in the Pass
The soveriegns unleashed their might
Partnerships never last.
There picked up by a zombie child
without another word,
It passed from him to renegade,
and at their death, the horde.
It rode wild in a caravan,
until it was torn asunder.
Fell into the hands of a monk
who descended to plunder.
This monk used it to pay a fine,
he gave it to a towne,
which paid for water and for wheat,
and moved for miles around.
A foolish boy dispensed his gold
like going out of style.
And died one day and left it there
where they lay for a while.
And finally a gargoyle,
a princess of the sand,
Picked up that pretty coin
with her cracking stony hands.
Across the townes, over the seas
this single coin traversed
Do you know where those things have been
that you keep in that purse?

Penned by my hand on the 1st of Solis, in the year 62 AM.

Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…

Onward to 2021

Hi folks! This year has been a challenge on many of us, and I can only hope the next year goes by more smoothly. Having said that, we have reached the end of 2020, woo! This was my first not-quite-a-year on Imperian, and it has been a whole learning experience. It has been a bit…
