How could so many emotions
Come from the human heart?
It gives the most soothing warmth
Yet now it tears me apart

I once lived in the warmth
I thought it had no end
But I now know the pain first-hand
and how little will help it mend.

I do not blame the person
who made me feel each way
For I look back to when we first met
And I still cherish that day

I do not know what it was
that made us drift apart
but know that I would give my life, my soul
For one chance at a new start
