Tempest

Written by: Gov'nah Jarvis Nylund, Spirit of the Shark

Bright skies,
clear water,
not a cloud in sight
My eyes are blessed
with beautiful sight.

Calm seas and a fair wind,
I was foolish to think
this utopia would never end.

Roiling clouds soon descend,
and suddenly
no longer is the sea my friend.

Slashing winds and pouring rain,
I just want to be home again.
Light cracks above my head,
my only desire a safe, warm bed.

Thunder like cannons all around,
Oh Lady, lead this boat to safer ground.
Waves soon crest upon my feet,
my Maker I fear,
I soon shall meet.

I humbly kneel,
and hold on tight,
close my eyes,
and trust Her sight.

Grey turns to blue,
the skies soon clear,
the seas calm down,
as if the storm was never here.

Penned by my hand on the 20th of Halitus, in the year 611 AD.
