Angel's Tears

Clouds float past the leaves of green,
Playing in the boundless sky.
Stars that glitter all night long,
And yet nobody wonders, "Why?"

Souls of loved ones long passed on,
Dear departed from this earth,
Shining out from pitch black night,
As Father Sol reaches His berth.

Constelations of gems gleam,
Scattered through the tight black weave.
They close their eyes, one by one,
In the sleep from which some never leave.

Floating orbs play hide'n'seek,
In shadow from the gleaming sun,
Where lovers lie with fighter-kind,
And all are 'like in Divine wisdom.

Are they souls of lovers lost,
Or merely play-toys of Divine,
Made to help us lose ourselves,
In endless dreams that flow like wine.

The souls of those you love and lose,
Burning balls of countless years.
Whatever you may know stars are,
I shall believe in angel's tears.

Penned by my hand on the 23rd of Artificium, in the year 409 AD.
