My Life

Written by: Squire Megan

A world of paper walls
Doomed to ruin from beginning
Paper expressions on faces stony
Frayed rope over candle flame was the lion
Should have listened, if only I had listened

A world of fire and pain
Hell devoid of care
Voices of anarchy squabble
I was lost amid the sea's of fury
Now I shout loudest and all will hear me

A world of broken bones and shattered dreams
Pushed to the edge, dangled to and fro
The knife bit eep but the snake of heart would not let me fall
New starts, fresh beginnings, rides the wave and tame the beast
I'm sorry mama

A world of the unknown
Charting new ground
There I found My Lady
Longing and Learning was I
Some things are better left dead while others I cling to tighter

A world of clouds
Back to the old den I roam
I will show the world
I will mend the broken
I will prevail

A world of rainbows and shadow
Old love burning, new love blossoming
Knives in the dark rake at my values
Make me choose you will get burned
And where you wither my petals, I will dig you out by the roots

A world of promise
Praise outweighing disgrace
What will make me? what will break me?
New hopes, new dreams
Eagerly I seek my destiny

Only time will tell

Penned by my hand on the 5th of Halitus, in the year 408 AD.

Onward to 2021
