Wise

One day a man that was named Wise,
Went to the village, "Poison Eyes."
Most men were startled by this name,
For the people there were not the same.

They act like zombies, all day long,
Singing this old, well-known song,
A song which kept them from demise,
This strange old song called "Poison Eyes."

The man, called Wise, just struck a thought,
"Will this song provide me with luck?
Will it keep me from demise?
This ancient tune, called 'Poison Eyes?' "

He sang it once he learned just how,
But he became one of them now.
He never ended this song, Wise,
He never ended "Poison Eyes."

Perhaps the people sang this song
Because it was so very long
But why was it called Poison Eyes?
The answer lies, the answer lies.

The answer was that those who heard,
Have never said another word,
They only sang this deadly song,
But this was wrong, this was wrong.

The Poison was the words they spoke,
These eyes were tired, these poor folk.
So what's the moral deep within?
That greed is deadly, so don't sin.
He sang it once he learned just how,
his ancient tune, called 'Poison Eyes?' "

Penned by my hand on the 14th of Artificium, in the year 407 AD.

Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…
