Dusk

Sweet angels raise their voices high,
Their wordless lyrics asking why,
With silence as their soul reply.
No answers do the stars supply,
Mute fingers reach twards the sky.
Only tears dare to deny,
The quiet truth it will imply,
The sorrow of the last goodbye.
Yet one last promise will defy,
The anguish in the tears they cry.
The dawn will come, its waking nigh,
Its darkness gone with one last sigh.
The message here I will apply,
Hope is here, despair will die.

Penned by my hand on the 7th of Artificium, in the year 442 AD.
