City Ties

Some live on
Some find a cause
Some die for it

Your city lives
Your city thrives
Your city cries for it

Your city can serve you
Or your city can spit you out
Your city can program and sterilize you

Your thoughts become one with the city
Be they evil thoughts or pretty
Because it�s all good in the city

Your city can suck the marrow from bones
Use and abuse you with city tones
And thrill you and kill you when your city moans

You are your city
You are the shining beacon of all hope
Or spiral downwards like the noose on a rope
