Spring

Stirring the sands
Dark, cold Eastern winds
Even the hot sun
Is swallowed, sky muddied

As a child, these deserts
rolled endlessly,
dunes of pure gold
But like the heart, they weaken

Glittering Shaahri sands
Carry me away
To that pure spring
Where I might submerge myself

And feel this ache mo more.

Penned by my hand on the 14th of Tenebrae, in the year 419 AD.
