The Noctusari and Stavenn-Part II

The angry mob of Stavennite citizens, Kabal in tow, trekked to the
Noctusari guildhall, which had been previously sealed off completely by
order of the government. Varulan, a Malignist began setting up for a
complex ritual that was to open the guildhall so they could give chase
to the Noctusari. One of the main components needed for this ritual was
mortal blood, and Kabal was the unwilling donor.

The mob began chanting praise to Sukhder, the Moon of Terror and Varulan
began etching out the pentagram needed with Kabal's blood. After more
chants and movements, the air was charged with electricity, and a great
bolt of lightning came down from the heavens and coursed through Varulan
into the pentagram. A massive crater marked an entrance from Stavenn
into the Noctusari guildhall, and the Stavennites filed in to find the
Noctusari. The Stavennites were greeted by more of the same demons that
attacked with Berodach, and were also afflicted by totems the Noctusari
put up. In tandem, the demons and the totems effectively barred further
entrance into the guildhall.

Taking a lantern from its nearby post, Aakrin threw it onto the ground,
causing a puddle of oil and flame to spill out into Stavenn's streets.
He then helped to fan some of this flame into the Noctusari hall in
order to burn both the demons and the totems out. As the demons
perished, the Stavennites again journeyed in, and made it to Berodach,
who was alive and well in the hall. The guild tutor was again slain,
this time for good and his corpse taken to the Stavenn council room.
Upon further inspection of the guildhall, a tunnel was found carved into
the mountains from the Noctusari ritual room. A lone demon untouched by
the fires yet guarded the tunnel's abyssal depths. It is not yet known
to where the Noctusari fled, nor if the tunnel still houses Stavenn's
enemy within.
