Discovered in historical records by Lady Jeneae, the anniversary of a
great battle between Khandava and Stavenn passed today, celebrated by
the council who slew most of the invaders centuries ago, sending them
fleeing in fear of the powers of the Forest. Yet at the height of
midnight, on the very day of the anniversary, the moon of Sukhder hung
large in the air, colouring the clouds with a crimson hue until it
looked as if the sky were bleeding. As a focused beam of moonlight
struck the council, many wondered what effect it would have... until
Caerath came across an undead, skeletal raider, resurrected from that
long-forgotten battle. More and more of the ancient remains beneath the
soil of those slain warriors began to rise up, fighting against Khandava
once more, imbued by the twisted powers of Terror, as Khandava again
seeks to beat back the scourge, which this time is empowered by
necromantic forces awoken by the light of Sukhder.
A fearless group of Khandavans, including Brydian, Amaterasu, Giselle,
Ysabel, Caerath, Juran, Jazyra and Nicolas, have been valiantly battling
against the menace, sending many undead back into the foul pits they
rose from, hopefully each never to rise again. Yet a vast army was slain
in within the Redwoods, and more rise from their unhallowed graves by
the day, threatening the sanctuary of the council, and all who would
tread therein.
Before the forces fell victim to simple death.. will their now undead
state make it more difficult to vanquish the army seeking to overtake
the council? Whatever occurs, Khandava obviously has no intentions of
going down without a fight, and even the strongest of the revenant
battalion have found them to be fire foes.
