Faith through the Storm

Aesir's voice echoed across the ether-storm ravaged land, instructing
the mortals that the knifes would only be charged through honourable
combat, in terms He Himself set out, and once charged, a knife would be
filled with His power and thus able to slay the very heart of a storm
when flung into it. Mortals scrambled to claim a knife and challenge
each other, as they were transported to the Realm of Storms to compete
in single combat. As days passed, many were victorious, and slowly the
storms began to reduce in number as brave mortals fought each other in
order to channel the divine will of Aesir. After many battles, there
remained but one etherstorm, in Aori Bay, yet it seemed that even the
great knifes were unable to destroy it and finally end the threat.

A Priestess of the Lamrians, Risa, approached the city of Antioch to
seek aid in ending the final storm, close to her people's dwelling
places, as it was causing them chaos in the extreme. The ever-faithful
people of the desert city soon began their prayers to the Pantheon, and
the responses came quickly in the form of each Deities' spiritual
leader. As Renbeldon, Liaeyte, Zohri and Horis arrived, they began to
discuss exactly what their Gods would want. Though Zohri wished only to
bless the knives, as faith and Divine power would be enough, Liaeyte
objected to the use of knives as being against the teachings of Lady
Shallah, and Renbeldon did not wish to simply give the mortals anything.
Eventually Horis proposed a solution on behalf of Lord Vahin, that the
Gods would bless something in order to seal the torn barriers, and it
was quickly decided that sand would be ideal.

However, it would not simply be given, instead it would be earned
through knowledge of the Divine and devotion to the principles of
Antioch's pantheon. As Horis prayed, ten tiles appeared, each inscribed
with Divine symbols, and a test of their faith ensued, requiring the
matching of symbols with what they represent, joining the tiles together
in a circle. After many days of work and research, Song and Stavros
managed to complete the circle, which began to glow with a subtle yet
powerful Divine aura. As the glow spread inwards, the sand within it was
blessed by the power of the Gods, and made ready to vanquish the final
storm by repairing the shattered borders between the realms. Taking the
blessed sand with them, the Antiochians quickly made their way to Aori
Bay, and cast the holy gift to the raging ether-blown storms. With a
flare of light, the sand faded away, almost immediately followed by
calming of the etherstorm as the barrier's final repairs were made,
through the will of the Gods and thanks to the devotion of the desert
city.
