Purging of the Blight

Following much investigation into ways to combat the rapidly spreading
Blight, Nisha and Mookie came across a Khandavan Dryad this month, who
was happy to talk to them. A sweet, if easily distracted being, the
Dryad told them of a time when she had eaten some poisonous mushrooms,
making both herself and her tree quite sick. After some intensive
questioning, it was revealed the Dryad had been given something to drink
from a special cup, born by a white cat with deep violet eyes.

After some time, Nisha recalled such a cat being a mentor to the Order
of Lord Janus, and managed to contact Wren to ask about her. The cat,
named Balkis, had been wandering through Dis and Khandava for some time,
investigating various matters such as the Blight, as well as the Fell
beasts. The small group managed to find Balkis within the Khandava
Council, who remembered the Dryad quite well. She explained she had used
one of Lord Janus' relics to heal the dryad and her tree, though this
was many years back before it was lost. However, the Relic itself turned
out to be the Chalice of Rebirth, rediscovered some time ago by the
mortal incarnation of Spring, Wren Kith'Vahni. After blessing the
Chalice, Balkis suggested using elemental ice within it, to create pure
elemental water that would, thanks to the Chalice, be able to purge the
foul Blight.

Proceeding to the sickening Arythian Rowan, Wren followed Balkis'
suggestions and poured elemental ice from the Chalice. As it left the
relic, the water was transformed into mist that purified the room,
purging it of Blight and restoring it to pristine, natural glory. The
Blight itself, however, remained throughout many areas of the world, so
Wren and Nisha, working with the rest of Khandava and much of Kinsarmar
proceed to begin purifying every blighted room they came across. Whether
or not they will manage to remove the taint, or what will happen if they
do, remains to be seen.
