Lianthe, Lady of the Waters

As many sought out the spirit Maklak spoke of, she made her way to
Khandava to offer her help to the Khandavans she met. Taea Eruanna,
William Eruanna and Caitlin Ruadh welcomed her warmly and told her the
terrible story of Alekmanhala and his destruction of Dun Valley. The
river spirit revealed her name to be Weslia, and she told those
assembled that she was sent by her Lady to see the valley and report
what she saw, as well as to bring hope to the Khandavans devastated by
this loss.

They led her as close as possible to the valley, not daring to go any
further for lava still flowed from the volcano bringing swift death to
any who went there. Lady Weslia surveyed the valley and spoke a word of
hope to the Khandavans, her Lady can restore the balance lost here. She
promised them she would return later with word, and the Khandavans
waited many anxious days for her return.

As promised, Lady Weslia once again came to Khandava and found Caitlin
Ruadh who called her guild and council to come to her and meet Weslia
and hear word of her Lady. Anorus Alarsa and Nisha Savet came at once
and after introductions they made their way to the valley again. Once
there they were joined by Magdalyn Lokrien and Jayako Murne.

Weslia began by telling those assembled that it has been many centuries
since her Lady left Her domain, the waters of Aetherius. The river
spirit also told them that her Lady had decided it was time for Her
presence to be felt once again by mortal kind. She asked those assembled
to send up their own prayers as she prayed for the restoration of Dun.

It was not long before there was an answer as Lianthe, Lady of the
Waters revealed Herself to them and assured them that balance would be
restored to this valley. The earth shook briefly, then a deluge of water
poured in from a crack in the valley walls as the river that flowed from
the canyon burst through. Heavy rains fell on the valley and the lava
that once ravaged the land sizzled under the touch of the water and
cooled. The Khandavans watched in amazement as the valley quickly filled
with water.

Lady Lianthe told them, that Alekmanhala's volcanic home was now his
prison and he may never leave it. The Khandavans were relieved to hear
this after his unwelcome presence for so long in their forest. Lady
Lianthe named the valley Yhumara, which means Healed by Water in the
tongue of the ancients, and She charged the Arboreals to finish the
healing she began and to tend to their restored valley.

Penned by my hand on the 14th of Ultio, in the year 448 AD.

2021 and Beyond

Hello Imperian! Another year passes! A few months from now will mark my second year on Aetherius. Time sure flies! However, the vast majority of this wouldn’t happen without our wonderful team of volunteers. Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…
