Memory's Decay.

Fed up with the ongoing presence of Saboteurs in the Ithaquan village,
Sigurd Brynja, now a regular sight amongst the people, made an abject
demand that Harker Sunjackal toss them from the forest without
hesitation. Yet, things turned against the old elf as the Wind Walker
demanded substantial proof to back up Brynja's story of demonology
within the Saboteurs' ranks, and Insidian's deceit; in following with
his leadership beliefs, Harker insisted he could not make such a hasty
decision on the word of a near-stranger.

Sigurd railed on the lycaean in bitter protest, but Harker stood firm,
pressing his critic further to back up his accusations. Falling then
into a mess of rage and confusion, Sigurd began spouting first one
thing, and then another, his wisdom reduced to a muddled shambles it
would seem. A small group of Ithaquans had gathered by that point, and
Harker continued, asking him to do what he could to recount the history
of the Phantoms' darkest hour once more. Suspicion fell to pity as the
Idras elder found himself unable to determine what was truth and what
was fiction. Appearing as though Sigurd's own decaying memories had
betrayed him, the old man sank into sullen reflection.

Despite his confusion over matters of the past, he refused to remain in
the place he once called home so long as it harbored his betrayers.
Harker, unable to hold nature's cruelty against this once great man,
requested an alliance with the rebuilt Idras nonetheless - one thing
Sigurd could accept. The Idras would leave the confines of the village,
the embrace of which Sigurd Brynja had failed to regain, and head into
the cold wastes to propagate their return.

Regardless of these occurances, few questions have been answered, be it
the nature of the Saboteurs' skills or the alleged cooperation of
demonologists with Insidian and his men. It would seem the truth lies in
the fading thoughts of one old fighter, perhaps never to be recovered.
