The Black Gate

Events surrounding the moon shards came to an intense peak today. A
group of loyal Antiochians, led by Aronus, confronted Tyther concerning
his intentions. Tyther stuck to his story of creating a gate, allowing
mortals free travel. The group argued for a considerable time with
Tyther before allowing him to begin his ritual.

Once Tyther initiated the ritual, Aronus began to consecrate the ground.
This single act, completed in the nick of time, may have saved Aetherius
considerable misfortune. The holy ground revealed Tythers possession by
demonic forces. Undoubtedly this occurred when Tyther first attempted to
open the gate. Had the ground not been marked holy, the demon lord would
have surely escaped.

The group attempted to stop Tyther verbally, to no avail. The gate was
fully opened at this point with a demon lord forcing his way onto the
holy ground. With no other options Tyther was slain by the group, the
felling blow delivered by Stavros. The death of Tyther released the
demon spirit possessing his body, closed the gate and sealed the demon
lord away.

Penned by my hand on the 3rd of Letum, in the year 404 AD.
