On the 10th day of Halitus, in the year 30 AM, the chill of the undead visited Pabin'aquinumi. An undead huntsman took up residence in the towne's graveyard, claiming it for his new home away from the Legion in Dis. With maniacal laughter that chilled to the bone, the undead huntsman gave a fright to the towne chief's wife, Weral. Fleeing from the horrible creature, she found herself alone and racked with the pains of childbirth.

Chief Hamade called for assistance to defend his small towne and Mercer, Serelia, Zachariah, Lytharose, Gurn, Mathiaus, Valir, Alvetta, Seraphyne, and Vaughn showed up ready to rid the towne of the huntsman. After the threat was dispelled, the saviors rushed to poor Weral's side.

In no time at all, a tiny baby boy was ushered into the world by Mathiaus' hand and Alvetta's calm encouragement. In light of the dead that had graced Pabin'aquinumi that day, the new parents, Hamade and Weral, named the child Dametak after the Lamiran word 'dametaka' for life. The happy family thanked their rescuers, including a shy Serelia, who vowed to watch over the precious new babe. With such an eventful journey into the world, what will become of this new Lamiran life in Pabin'aquinumi?
