Early in the month of Solis, the Lady Shallah appeared before the citizens of Antioch, seeking to bring a moment of Peace and Serenity to their world of turmoil. It was to be short-lived, however, as She was set upon by Azaoz, Lord of the Demons, and Ipstal the Ice Maiden. Their mocking taunts drew the attention of the Bringer of Hope, Lord Illuminas, who challenged them to meet Him in the skies above Antioch.

Once there, a fierce battle ensued. Illuminas put up a worthy opposition, while Ipstal and Azaoz gained ground. Azaoz kept Illuminas occupied under the heavy blows of His scythe, and Ipstal rained arrows down upon Him from a short distance away, eventually wounding the Lightbringer. With Illuminas' attention turned towards Ipstal, Azaoz seized His opportunity and moved in to finish off the Pure One. Were it not for the last-second intervention of Shallah, the Lord of Light would have met His demise at that very moment.

The sacrifice of Lady Shallah left mortal and Divine alike in stunned silence, as She fell beneath the wicked scythe of the Lord of Demons. Her death enabled Illuminas to launch His final offensive against the darkness, obliterating the Ice Maiden and Himself in an explosion of brilliant light. Azaoz, having been blinded by the blast, beat a hasty retreat, leaving only silence in His wake. When mortal eyes had at last blinked away the afterimages clouding their vision, it was to look upon an empty sky, for Illuminas, Shallah, and the demoness Ipstal were no more.
