Concoctions!

The Concoctions and Nature related changes are done, finally. Thank you
all for your patience while I dealt with my problems in the ghetto.

Concoctions is now a general skill that all current players should have,
and all new players should receive automatically. There are a few plants
that only Arboreals and Hunters can harvest. Furthermore, Hunters,
Arboreals, Wardens, Amazons, and Outriders can harvest many more herbs
than other classes. There is also a new command that you can use to
harvest plants. The command is RIP, and is functionally equivalent to
the harvest/pick commands, but represents a more violent method of
obtaining the herbs from the plant.

All existing Hunters have received a magickal version of Trailblazing to
replace Concoctions. I will be explaining the process by which a Hunter
who has adopted an anti-magickal stance can become an Outrider in my
next post.

All existing Arboreals have received the skill Naturalism.

Your skillrank in Trailblazing and Naturalism is current Inept, while
your Concoctions skillrank is at exactly what it was previously. You can
forget Concoctions and get all of the lessons you learned in it back.
You can only do this once, and you will only have the opportunity to do
it over the next 7 days. FORGET CONCOCTIONS is the is process to do
this.

Anybody who has Trailblazing can specialise in Concoctions or Toxins.
Specialising in Concoctions will give you the ability to make several
elixirs and pick the related herbs. This is for people who have no
desire to learn Concoctions. You can specialise in Toxins instead, which
will allow you to prepare several toxins. CHOOSE CONCOCTIONS or CHOOSE
TOXINS are the commands to choose your specialisation.

Please BUG any problems you encounter with the new skills. Furthermore,
we anticipate that Trailblazing and Naturalism will receive a
substantial amount of attention during the next round of Classleads, so
please keep your suggestions and ideas on the back burner.

Penned by my hand on the 18th of Aequitas, in the year 502 AD.

However, the vast majority of this wouldn’t happen without our wonderful team of volunteers. Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…

Onward to 2021

Hi folks! This year has been a challenge on many of us, and I can only hope the next year goes by more smoothly. Having said that, we have reached the end of 2020, woo! This was my first not-quite-a-year on Imperian, and it has been a whole learning experience. It has been a bit…
