Greetings all.
The new customization system seems to be working well, and be quite
popular. As a result of our observations, we are posting these
additional notes to help you submit a customisation that may be approved
first time.
Firstly, when submitting your pet (or item), please bare in mind that
the first letter of the appearance must NOT be capitalised, or end in a
period.
A black wolf. - Incorrect
a black wolf - Correct
Secondly, the Dropped and Examined descriptions >should< begin with a
capital, and end in a period. And please, make sure to check your
spelling as we will reject ones not properly checked. Thirdly, please
remember that your pets in particular will be moving with you, and so
should not mention things like snow on them, or being 'in shadows'.
Neither of these states would be possible, for example, in a desert at
midday, so please try to think all possible situations your pet would be
in before describing things such as this.
Fourthly, your pets weight will not change, so you cannot have a tiny
songbird turn into a massive one. Its plumage, and other such bits you
can change, but the size will remain roughly the same. Fifthly, you
cannot name pets, without buying a collar of taming, so you cannot have
'a kestrel named Bob'. You can, if you wish, have a small tag around its
leg or neck giving its name in its examined description, but that is
all.
Finally, again, please remember that customisations must remain the same
base type of item, a kestrel, a songbird, a wolf. They cannot become
something other than that, and nor can they become magickal by nature,
so a wolf cannot carry the night with it, a songbird cannot be made of
rainbows, and a cobra cannot develop wings and start flying.
Thank you for your attention, and rest assured that we look over
submitted customizations daily.
