Bugs and Gold

We've recently discovered a bugged quest in the Eglondes Gecnawing that
was infinitely repeatable, rewarding gold and experience to the questor.
This quest is solely responsible for the introduction of 68 million gold
into the game in the past month and a half.

One player was solely responsible for accumulating 44 million, while
another was able to generate 12 million. Both of these players have been
shrubbed, obviously. One of these players was kind enough to report the
bug to us with a bug report, but continued to use it to generate
millions of gold. This player had also set up a trigger system to abuse
the bug, sitting there for hundreds of hours, accumulating gold. While
I'd love to be aware of every bug reported in Imperian, there are
hundreds reported every day.

I'd like to apologise for this. The character who abused the bug was
able to purchase more than 4000 credits off the credit market with the
gold generated by this bug, and I believe that this has had a drastic
effect on the credit prices on the credit market. We've disabled the
quest, but the damage done to Imperian's economy is far more difficult
to undo.

In summary, I'd like to request that any of you who find similar bugs
please report them immediately. And, if you do, STOP ABUSING THE BUG!
Reporting it does not absolve you of any responsibility you may incur in
abusing it.

Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…
