The Aetherian Reporting Contest

Written by: Janus, the Green Man
Date: Monday, June 13th, 2005
Addressed to: Everyone

Greetings to you all, Mortals!

We have decided that we will hold a contest of a slightly different
flavour, this time.

The challenge - Write a piece for a newspaper-type production, based IC
on Imperian events. It must be well written, between 100-500 words, and
based on something from within the game. It may be a current events
report, an opinion on something, an advice column, or anything along the
lines that you would find in a quality newspaper, although no
advertisements or similar will be acceptable.
Winning articles will be published and made available in game, and the
writers will receive between 50-100 credits, based on content
evaluation.

As a secondary contest, we also do not like the term 'Newspaper'. So
there will be a separate contest to name the production type, such as '
Newssheet', or 'record', as well as for the actual title of the
production, e.g. 'The Aetherian Times'.
Separate 100 credit prizes will be awarded for the winning name, and
title.

For the Article contest, you may submit via the website as listed in
HELP LITERARY. For the name and title contest, please send them via
email to janus@imperian.com, with the title listed as 'Title Contest
Submittion'.

Deadline is 23:50, on 30th June, by the TIME command, for both contests.

Penned by my hand on the 5th of Naturalis, in the year 465 AD.

Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…
