A rather substantial bug was fixed recently with tattoos. It seemed
that, for some people, tattoos would consistently and mysteriously stop
working.

Unfortunately, fixing this bug required substantial changes being made
to how tattoos were handled internally. Subsequently, there may be some
adverse consequences (bugs) as a result of these changes.

If you should happen to notice that a tattoo is not working as expected
(boar tattoo suddenly stops regenerating health, your tree tattoo never
lets you use it again, etc), please file a detailed bug report
explaining exactly what happened (or did not happen).
