Shard Attune Bug Fixed

Hello, all,

We recently fixed a bug that was allowing you to SHARD ATTUNE <obelisk>, despite that research skill being removed. Because I've received several messages and bug reports about it, I wanted to make an announce post stating that it is intended, and why the change was made.

The SHARD ATTUNE ability has been completely removed from the game. This was an intended change that came along with the Obelisk and Shard Skill rework that occurred in April. Unfortunately, there was a bug that let players continue to use these abilities since then that has only been identified and reported this week.

The ability to SHARD ATTUNE was first reduced in time as a stopgap, then removed completely, because we felt that its presence in the shard research trees reduced the value of Obelisks, and their associated conflict system. In order to make holding Obelisks a valuable and important thing, and after reaching out to the playerbase for feedback, we elected to, among changes to the various Obelisk Research and obelisk Attunement shard research trees, completely remove SHARD ATTUNE. This forces organizations to interact with the obelisk system to gain certain powers.

Again, I wanted to clarify that the inability to use SHARD ATTUNE <obelisk> is intended, not a bug. SHARD ATTUNE has been removed.

Thanks,

Eoghan
